Clean bathroom and car park is handy. Easy to reach public transport and near the north pier; excellent value for money.

The bedroom was immaculate. Perfect location, near all attractions in Blackpool and not far from shops. Worth every penny

The bed was comfy and food was gorgeous. We had the double room which was huge. We stayed for 1 night here, loved the North Shore district. We appreciated to chill in the nearby Walkabout.

Super location, close to the center. The staff in the restaurant area is very friendly. Typical ambience for an English hotel

Staff at the reception is slow and rough. Everything is a little outdated.

Historical building that offers a lot. Every night there's bingo and a show. You can also dance here. Breakfast from 8 am and typical English.

More attention could be paid to cleanliness. The windows and curtains would need cleaning.

It's a little old, but it's got its charm. Good starting point for visits to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the Tower and the piers,

It was clean, the bed was comfortable.

The windows wouldn't open! It was very hot.

A good clean comfortable room. Something should be done about the central area where kitchen exhaust pipes are situated. This is infested with pigeons and is extremely unhygenic

The dining room staff were excellent however the receptionist was completely uninterested in assisting guests. We had some difficulty accessing the parking area but she did not help in any way. She did not advise how to get out of the car park when we left and we were forced to leave the car and return inside to find out the method to be used. It is a shame that she dragged down the standard of the remainder of the staff.

Poor quality rubbish noisy bed. Standard double room doesn't have intercom/phone, no shaving socket in bathroom and the worst thing was no sea view at all even after choosing beachside hotel.

the room we stayed in 317 flooded at 1.30am so we had to change rooms and i was not a happy person

On the whole there is a relaxed atmosphere at the Metropole with a few exeptions. The conservatory area is excellent service drinks, inc alcohol and snacks, very reasonably priced. We stayed on a Sunday evening and althougth there were not many people in the caberet lounge in the evening, there was still lots of entertainment.

Although the main feeling is relaxed the gentleman on reception was a little abrupt, we were told what time to attend for dinner, 5pm, which is very early. On departure I was told to drop my key in the collection box with no other social interaction from him at all. A smile and an enquiry about our stay wouldn't have gone amiss.

I have been to this hotel several times over the last 15 years and recognised staff from previous visits - especially in the dining room and this to me speaks volumes. Most other hotels have a quick turnover of staff.

The carpet in our room was stained in several places and fabric on the furniture had white ?water marks in places but it was clean and comfortable - otherwise no complaints. The 5p.m. sitting for dinner is far too early for me but - on request - it was changed and the food was good. I think for what I paid the package was pretty good.
